See How Much You Could Save With Solar in 10 seconds
Pennsylvania homeowners are locking in their energy costs for 25 years.
See what that could mean for your home.

Your electric bill isn't going down.
Pennsylvania utility rates have risen steadily for years ... and every major utility serving the state has either recently raised rates or filed for increases with the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission. PECO raised rates 17% in 2023 alone.
PPL, Met-Ed, Duquesne Light and West Penn Power have all followed suit.
The question isn't whether your bill will be higher in 2, 5, or 10 years.
The question is whether you'll be paying it ... or whether you'll have RATE LOCKED your electricity with solar.

See How the Savings Calculator Works
Use the calculator above to compare what you'd spend staying on your current utility plan versus going solar with Solar Squad.
Select your utility, choose a rate increase scenario, and drag the slider to match your monthly bill. Your personalized 25-year projection updates instantly.
Every number is based on real data ... actual rate adjustments approved by the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission and projections drawn from publicly available utility filings, PUC hearings, and national energy infrastructure forecasts.

What Is "Price Locking"?
When you go solar with Solar Squad, your energy production cost is essentially fixed for the life of your system ... typically 25 years or more.
While your neighbors on the utility grid absorb every future rate adjustment, your solar payment stays the same from day one to year twenty-five.
We call it Price Locking ... and in Pennsylvania, where utility rates have consistently outpaced inflation for over a decade, it's one of the smartest financial moves a homeowner can make.
Plus Pennsylvania homeowners have an added advantage ... the PA SREC program pays you for the solar energy your system produces, stacking additional savings on top of your reduced electric bill.

About the Rate Scenarios
The calculator offers three scenarios based on publicly available data and forecasts:
Recent Trend: 5.5% annually Reflects the recent average annual rate of increase across PA's major utilities, accounting for base rate cases approved by the PA PUC and fuel adjustment surcharges. PECO's 17% increase in 2023 and PPL's recent filings are primary drivers of this baseline.
Predicted Increase 1: 7.5% annually Based on projected rate case filings anticipated with the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission through 2028. National grid modernization programs, infrastructure hardening requirements, and transmission investment costs are driving accelerating rate requests across all PA utilities.
Predicted Increase 2: 10.5% annually Analyst projections based on PA PUC filings, national energy infrastructure investment requirements, and utility earnings forecasts through 2035. Aging grid infrastructure, climate resilience upgrades, and inflation in materials and labor are the primary drivers of this scenario.
Note: Rate projections are estimates based on publicly available filings and industry forecasts.
Actual future rates are determined by the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission and may vary.

The PA SREC Advantage
Pennsylvania is one of a handful of states with an active Solar Renewable Energy Credit program.
Every megawatt-hour your system produces generates an SREC ... a tradeable credit that utility companies are required to purchase. For most Solar Squad customers, SRECs add $200–$400 per year in additional income on top of utility savings.
It's one more reason Pennsylvania is one of the best states in the country to go solar right now.

Why The Solar Squad is Different
The Solar Squad was built from the ground up by The Solar Girl & The Solar Guy to deliver something the solar industry rarely offers ... a truly seamless experience from your first conversation to the moment your system goes live.
Most solar companies talk a good game but outsource the hard parts. Not us. Solar Squad handles every single step in-house ... consultation, inspection, design, permitting, materials prep, installation, utility interconnection, and ongoing system monitoring.
No third-party contractors. No runaround. No wondering who's responsible when something needs attention.
One team. Every step.
Under one roof.
You always know who to call or text ... and we always pick up.

How We Work
When you work with Solar Squad, a dedicated advisor manages your project from start to finish.
They design your system around your home and your bill, handle all Pennsylvania PUC interconnection paperwork, coordinate directly with your utility, and oversee your installation personally — from permit to power-on.
No high-pressure tactics pushing you into a decision.
Just real numbers, honest answers, and a team that takes pride in getting it right.
